COLLEGE DEMOCRATS ANNOUNCE NORTH DAKOTA CONVENTION
(GRAND FORKS, ND – APRIL 2) – College Democrats of North Dakota (CDND) announces their plans for the first-annual CDND Convention. The University of North Dakota’s chapter of College Democrats has been selected to host this year’s convention taking place on April 10th and 11th.
CDND would like to invite the public to join us on Friday, April 10th at 6:30pm in the Gorecki Alumni Center. At 7:00pm, North Dakota Democratic-NPL Party Chairwoman Kylie Oversen will speak to students about the importance of youth to North Dakota. Mark Levine, a national liberal radio and television pundit, will kick off convention events with the keynote address. On Saturday, students will reconvene to formally adopt their constitution, elect a new Board of Directors, and receive organizing training.
This convention is the result of planning by leaders in CDND, the North Dakota Democratic-NPL Party, and Grand Forks community supporters. The convention will set the tone for CDND’s many years of on-campus and community organizing for a progressive North Dakota.
